Super great show (teaching video) John! Glad to see you healed up well.
Looking & sounding 100% bro! I would request that after all you have
taught us (feel like we are friends), you come out with a, “Farmer John
– What’s Growin’ On” scarecrow for us (and doll for the kids) so we can
talk too you inside & around the garden! And give ya a hug… Wilson!

Haha, I garden for most all the reasons you suggest, but top of the list is
FAST (real) FOOD to snack on without leaving home :)

Why I grow some veg. Be more independent, chemical free (apart from the
chemtrails) carry on family tradition.

Well I’m gardening inside right now because it’s 17 degrees outside lol but
I do it cuz I can’t get what I want in the fresh veg dept at the grocery
store. Plus it’s way cheaper at least for me. I’m on a plant based diet &
it’s not easy finding organic greens esp. I use rock dust, yucca extract &
a natural fertilizer. My hubby will take bags of leaves from the neighbors
and use it for compost lol. Would love to see a video on doing companion
gardening and nitrogen fixing plants unless you already did one ;)

One of the reasons I started gardening is I have some extremely good
memories of gardening in Yellowknife NWT Canada in the sub arctic with my
parents. I want to share that with my Son and teach him where food comes
from and healthy eating.

I started gardening when I was 9 or 10 years old. I’m certain I used to
garden in my previous lives as well. Plants make me feel great, and I can’t
imagine going a day without touching one. Now I garden to rehabilitate
soils and increase biodiversity with edible food in my area and to make a
living.

I garden because I enjoy the way I feel while in my garden. I also feel
that I grow more nutritious and tasty plants that aren’t contaminated with
pesticides.

Are garden to avoid GMO to have the freshest food available and it relieves
stress

Tommyr @ 5:47 pm #

I do it because it’s FUN, it’s RELAXING, it saves me a LITTLE money and
fresh veggies taste the best.

My main reason is accessibility. It is just so much easier to grow your own
food rather than worry if you can get to the store, what the store is going
to have, and if you will be able to afford it. When you garden, there is
more certainty and fresh food is more readily available.

I have been living and working overseas for 20 years. The only thing that
I really have missed is my garden. My daughter and I had a tiny vegetable
garden in Philadelphia that we talked about all the time over the years.
Now, we live in a house in Spain with an amazing terrace, so we started
growing an edible garden. It has been fun and a great stress release from
my demanding job. We’ve turned the garden into a wonderful haven from the
outside world where we also can enjoy our own homegrown food. Now, we have
fresh greens, lettuce, garlic, carrots and herbs for making dinner every
day. Watching videos by you and Praxxus55712 has taught us how to garden
better and changed our lives.

Hi John, I garden because I want to know what I eat and it gives me such a
good feeling to have my GMO-free food straight from the garden on my plate.
It is a treasure for me and my family, thank you for so many tips you
always have!

I garden right now for my Honor Stand. Eventually, I’ll finish the Prayer
Walk, and the Honor Stand will bring people to my property, and hopefully,
they will use the Prayer Walk.

I am pretty new to gardening but it is quickly becoming a hobby I’d love to
get better at. Your videos definitely inspire… What leads me most to
gardening is the desire to lead a healthier life. I am a pharmacist in
cardiology and I see so much preventable disease that burdens our society.
And prescription medications just don’t work very well!! Additionally, I
was diagnosed with thyroid cancer two years ago. I am quickly seeing how
much gardening helps bring the freshest, most nutritious foods into a
person’s diet and it is helping me reduce my dependence on processed foods.
Thank you, John, you are amazing!

Why? Because I have the time to do it and am sick of eating crap I don’t
know where it comes from. Hard to eat healthy or vegetarian, living with
someone that has no clue. My choice is to attempt to educate her. If I
could just disconnect the TV. :-)

I garden because the earth is home and it’s important to give back more
than we take from it. Everything can be traced back to the soil.
